This was my first vegetarian, gluten free christmas so for christmas eve we made Lentil mushroom walnut balls with cranberry pear sauce. They were amazing. We were going to cut the sauce in half but I’m glad we didn’t, it was just enough!

I never have any luck with American recipes. They always call for ingredients you can never find in the UK or that are really expensive here. Apart from Cranberries (which aren’t too common) we had almost all the ingredients. It used an awful lot of maple syrup though.

This was before I opened my amazing christmas present so we had to deal with old school kitchen technology! Half cup chopping at a time! We used my dried herbs too!
